All About Me? Hmmm..........

My name is Regina and I was born, raised and currently live in Southern New Jersey. I am a true Jersey Girl born in 1970 in Lakewood, New Jersey. I spent quite a few summer vacations as a child on Long Beach Island. Then later spent my honeymoon in Wild Wood and then my 20th Wedding Anniversary in Atlantic City. I love fresh fish and blue claw crabs so I can't imagine living any where else.... well, maybe in a bigger house but still in New Jersey...........although.......... a vacation home in California, next door to Rick Springfield would be cool!

Okay, so back to reality! I have a degree in Business Administration and I am married to a great guy, Gary. We have two grown daughters, three grown sons, four beautiful and smart grand-daughters as well as two wonderful son-in-laws ( I had to mention the last because not everyone is so lucky in the son-in law department!).

I currently work full-time for a software company where my duties include training, implementation, support, and product management for accounting software designed for home builders and contractors. The software also has integrated modules for estimating, sales, and scheduling.  So how do I find the time for these crafts and hobbies? I simply don't sleep much! Now that my children are all grown up, I have more time on my hands when I am not working my full-time job.

We love animals and currently have a cat, Jinx and a dog, Cooper. Both are pets we adopted from rescue organizations. They love hanging out together when things are quiet but don't hesitate to play and chase each other around the house.

Although I can't donate my time as much as I would like to the charities I support, I am happy to consider donating an item for a local charitable event. Please contact me with donation requests via email and provide information about the charity and event.  madebyregina4u@gmail.com

Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter

Friends of the Burlington Animal Shelter is a wonderful charity that I have supported for quite some time. They have volunteers that donate their time to the Burlington County Animal Shelter to help care for, foster and find homes for animals as well as raise money to help pay for medical care for animals that arrive at the shelter with illness or injuries.

Please visit their site to find out more about their efforts, fund raising and adoption events, or how to become a volunteer or make a donation.  https://friendsofbcas.org

Miracle 4 Molly

Another charity I have supported the last several years by donating original acrylic paintings for their annual event's auction is Miracle 4 Molly.  This charity raises funds for medical research with the goal of finding a cure for Rett Syndrome.

All of my items are homemade. My soy candles, wax melts, vegan friendly skin care products are made in my home. This all started when one day, I just decided to start making candles because I like them. I like a challenge, so I did some research and it wasn't long before that spun off into the wax melts, lip balm and my other products. Slowly or quickly depending upon your perspective on time, my product line grew. Most of the products started out because I wanted it for myself. My lip balm for example I started to make because I kept losing them. My body butter was created in the hopes of solving a problem with very dry hard callused heels on my feet which were on the verge of cracking. I am happy to report, I did solve these problems. My feet are much healthier and I always have lip balm available at my finger tips.

My most recent venture, and I think the one I love the most, is acrylic painting. I never imagined being able to paint. My mother was quite talented with drawing and painting, but was sick a lot, then my parents split. Due to this family circumstance, I was simply preoccupied with other things as a child and young adult.  I didn't have the type of environment to learn the craft on that level earlier in life. Heck, I didn't think I had that talent at all. So again, I like a challenge, did some research and started painting. Every painting I did was more fun and better then the last, driving me to do another then another.

All of what I do is done as a hobby. I do what I do because I love to do it. I love a wonderfully scented candle flickering in a dimly lit room, melting my stress away with each breath I take. I love knowing that other people are enjoying that same feeling. I love knowing that something I have created is hanging on someone's wall being admired every day. So, with all that said, Made By Regina 4 U, is about ME and about U!
